Be a part of the LA AIDS Walk 2013!
In honor of this year’s common book, Pedro and Me, UCLA Office of Residence Life, Leadership & Involvement, NRHH, First Year Experience, Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Campus Resource Center and the Volunteer Center are teaming up to Walk for Pedro at the annual LA AIDS Walk.
Pedro Zamora was an openly gay AIDS educator and activist featured on MTV’s The Real World: San Francisco in the early 90s. He personalized and humanized those who lived with HIV/AIDS during a time when the disease was widely feared and lacked effective treatment and understanding. Additionally, his commitment ceremony to his partner, Sean, was the first televised same-sex ceremony and a landmark LGBT moment in television history.
In honor of Pedro, we are asking you to join team -- UCLA Walks For Pedro
