African Languages Directory
This is a portal to sites created by a number of African languages specialists at UC campuses. The purpose of the sites is to provide information on African languages that students have been able to study at UC.
American Indian Studies Center Publications
The Publications Unit of the American Indian Studies Center is dedicated to publishing a wide variety of books by and about Native Americans. Its flagship publication is the American Indian Culture and Research Journal, which has been recognized as the leading serial publication on Native American life and issues. In addition, the Center publishes several series of books on contemporary American Indian issues, history, literature, drama, treaties, and politics.
Asian American Studies Center Press
UCLA Asian American Studies Center Press is the only university-based press committed to publishing scholarship entirely on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. The Press currently has 200 titles in stock, including Amerasia Journal, AAPI Nexus, almanacs, bibliographies, directories, and bestselling collections, anthologies, and memoirs.
Black Bruins
Black Bruins was created to serve as a comprehensive resource to all visitors who have an interest in the "black community" at UCLA. Black Bruins uses the term "black community" as the community of UCLA Bruins that identify with Bruins of similar cultural interest.
Center for Women and Men
The Center for Women and Men was founded in 1972 to serve the needs of women and men with special focus on gender-related issues. The broad range of programs and services provided by the center are designed to increase access and retention of students by promoting gender equity, opportunity and advocacy and by addressing issues affecting campus climate.
Chancellor’s Advisory Committee on the Gay and Lesbian Community
The Chancellor's Advisory Committee on the Gay and Lesbian Community at UCLA analyzes and identifies problems and makes recommendations on matters of particular interest to gay men and lesbians on the UCLA campus, including faculty, staff and students.
Chicano Studies Research Center Press
The UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center Press has been publishing journals, books, and reports since 1969. The mainstay of the press is Aztlán: A Journal of Chicano Studies, one of the first academic journals to focus on Chicanos and to this day the premier journal in the field.
Fowler Museum
The Fowler Museum explores art and material culture primarily from Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and the Americas and seeks to enhance understanding and appreciation of the diverse peoples, cultures, and religions of the world through highly contextualized interpretive exhibitions, publications, and public programming, informed by interdisciplinary approaches and the perspectives of the cultures represented.
Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Campus Resource Center
The UCLA Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Campus Resource Center provides a comprehensive range of education, information and advocacy services. The Center works to create and maintain an open, safe and inclusive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, intersex, transgender, queer, questioning, and same-gender-loving students, faculty, and staff, their families and friends, and the entire campus community.
Office of International Students and Scholars
The Dashew Center for International Students and Scholars enhances the UCLA experience for international students and scholars and promotes global connection through services to the University community. Specifically, the Office provides assistance in areas which include interpreting immigration regulations, understanding employment options, and making cultural, educational and personal adjustments to the campus and the community.
Office of Ombuds Services
The Office of Ombuds Services works to ensure that all members of the University community receive fair and equitable treatment in matters of concern or complaint. The Ombudspersons facilitate communication and assist parties in reaching their own mutually acceptable agreements when conflicts arise. The Office of Ombuds Services is a place where members of UCLA students, faculty, staff and administrators can go for assistance in resolving conflicts, disputes or complaints on an informal basis.
UCLA in LA
The Center for Community Partnerships is the embodiment of UCLA in LA. The goal of the Center is to nurture and develop partnerships between community groups and UCLA that produce joint efforts to improve the quality of life for area residents.
UC Office of the President Diversity Website
The University of California Office of the President Diversity Website is a gateway to University-wide diversity resources, news, and events. It serves as a portal to the diversity-related efforts and accomplishments of the entire UC community.
Women for Change
UCLA Women for Change encourages women to start a new tradition by taking action and speaking out. The annual UCLA Women for Change week is an occasion to celebrate UCLA women's presence, diversity, and achievements and to address their absences and challenges in higher education and in society.
